Registration

  • Members may only register those already included in their existing membership.

Registration is closed

Youth Sailing Team

  • Sunday 9 am - 12 pm

  • October 22nd - December 17th

  • Ages 7th grade - 12th grade
  • Prerequisite:  No sailing experience required
  • ALL schools are welcome to register, attend practices and have their team participate in this program.
  • There must be 4 registered sailors to run the program

The 420 Sailing Program will be primarily sail 420's and may also include "trap and spin," Lasers, Sunfish, Rhodes 19's and team racing.  

*A $100 damage repair deposit check will be collected on day of 1st class. It will not be cashed unless damaged caused was fault of sailor and discussed beforehand.

 Registration:

  • Those registering multiple students and/or sessions may select "Invoice Me" and enter payment information only once.
  • Registration is not complete and spot(s) will not be held until payment is received in FULL.
  • NOTE** Registration will be automatically canceled if payment is not received within 15 minutes of completing online registration.
Requirements are:
  • Current SCYC membership (Junior or Family) is required. (Membership Info)
  • Must weigh 90 lbs. for safety reasons
  • Able to swim 50 yards and pass a swim test. 
  • Provide a U.S. Coast Guard approved Type III Personal Flotation. Device (PFD) with a plastic whistle attached.
  • Sailing gloves and sunglasses are recommended for all courses.
  • Sailing boots or shoes that can get wet.
  • Following all SCYC Galley-Club Regulations

The SCYC Junior Sailing Scholarship Program is funded by the generous donations and contributions of SCYC members and the island community.
