At the St. Croix Yacht Club, we’re all about maritime adventure and meaningful connections. From top-notch sailing programs for both kids and adults to lively social events and beachside gatherings, there’s always something happening at the Club.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Club was formed for the express purpose of promoting interest and activity in the ownership, racing and cruising of yachts and small boats; of providing a meeting place for members whose common interest lies in ships and the sea; of augmenting the recreational facilities and visitor attractions of the island; of exchange and courtesies with other yacht clubs of the United States and Caribbean islands, and of extending to visiting yachtsmen the hospitality of St. Croix.

What is the Process?

1. Complete the membership application form, including a brief personal note introducing yourself and sharing why you’re interested in joining SCYC. This note helps our Board of Directors get to know you and understand your interest in becoming part of our community.

2. Two current SCYC members must sponsor your application. Each sponsor should send a short letter (or email) explaining how they know you and why they believe you’d be a great addition to the Club. Sponsor letters can be emailed directly to: concierge@stcroixyc.com

3. Once your application is submitted, you will be billed for the appropriate initiation fee based on your selected membership type.

Once your application has been reviewed and approved by both the Membership Committee and the SCYC Board of Directors, the following steps will take place:

1. Activation Notification: You will be notified when a membership opening becomes available and your application has been officially activated.

2. Prorated Dues: Membership dues will be prorated through the end of the calendar year based on your activation date.

3. Public Posting: Your name will be posted at the Club for a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to the next Membership Committee meeting.

4. Sponsor Responsibilities: Your sponsors are expected to introduce you to the SCYC Board of Directors, the Membership Committee, and as many fellow members as possible during this period.

5. Membership Mixers & Events: SCYC hosts mixers and social events throughout the year. Resident applicants and their sponsors are encouraged to attend to become better acquainted with the Club community.

Corinthian - $250.00 (USD) Subscription period: Unlimited CORINTHIAN ASSOCIATE. Any person over 21 years of age, but less than 30 years of age, who is an active sailor and of good moral character, shall be eligible as a Corinthian Associate for not more than one year. Corinthian Associates shall be limited to 20 at any one time.

Junior - $200.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Junior Associate Member - No Initiation Fee
Any person over 12 years of age but under 21 years of age, whose parents or guardians are not members of the Club, of good moral character, may with the consent of parent or guardian, be eligible as a Junior Associate. Junior Associates shall be entitled to all privileges of the Club, except the right to vote or hold office. A Junior Associate status shall terminate automatically when said Associate reaches his or her 21st birthday.

NonResident Family $1,900.00 (USD), prorated to $1,025.48 (USD) Bundle (up to 5 members) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Non Resident Family - One time Initiation Fee $2,680.00

Any family of which the head of household is over 21 years of age, of good moral character, who resides less than six months of each calendar year on St. Croix shall be eligible for non resident family membership. Shall be entitled to enjoy all the privileges of the Club, but shall not vote or hold office.

NonResident Individual $950.00 (USD), prorated to $512.74 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP - Non Resident
One time Initiation Fee $1340.00
1. Any single person over 21 years of age, of good moral character, who resides less than six months of each calendar year on St. Croix shall be eligible for non resident individual membership. Shall be entitled to enjoy all the privileges of the Club, but shall not vote or hold office.

2. A married person whose spouse is:
a) Legally separated.
b) Institutionalized, incapacitated or otherwise situated as to preclude his or her use of the Club, who resides less than six months of each calendar year on St. Croix year shall be eligible for non resident individual membership. Shall be entitled to enjoy all the privileges of the Club, but shall not vote or hold office.

Resident Family $1,900.00 (USD), prorated to $1,025.48 (USD) Bundle (up to 5 members) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Family Resident - One time Initiation Fee $2680.00
