Year Round Programs

When you live in paradise, every day is a sailing day! Working hard to keep our sailors active and interested year round, the St. Croix Yacht Club hosts programs for all skill levels throughout the year. As a compliment to our one design races these programs hosted after school and during school breaks make sure that our sailors never go too long without getting on the water.

Optimist Mondays Begin January 16, 2012 at a special start time of 1pm-4pm further program dates include:

• January 23 4-6pm
• January 30 4-6pm
• February 6 4-6pm

Year round programs include, but are not limited to:

Opti Mondays: Hosted in 4 week intervals, this program runs from 4pm-6pm for 4 Mondays in a row. The program varies from Hosting Optimist Racers and Optimist Continuation Sailors to Novice Optimist 1 Sailors looking to get a feel for what opti sailing is all about.

Little Mariners: Regularly Scheduled for School Holiday Breaks, this class runs from 9am-12pm Mon-Friday. See “Class Descriptions” for our little Mariners class located under the Summer Sailing Tab

Club 420 Development Week:  This is a class structured for those coming to sailing late in their junior years or for sailors maturing out of the Opti Class Championship Fleets. The emphasis on instruction is to build and grow a basic understanding of rigging and sailing 420s
